Questions
What founders ask first.
What is a regulatory sandbox?
A regulatory sandbox is a programme run by a regulator, often a central bank or financial authority, that lets a company test a new financial product with real customers, under supervision and within set limits, before or while it applies for a full licence.
Does an accelerator take equity?
Some do and some do not. Many government and corporate programmes take none, while investor-led accelerators often take a stake in exchange for cash and support. The cost line on each listing states which.
How is a support programme different from an accelerator?
An accelerator is usually a fixed-length cohort that ends in a demo day, often with an investment. A support programme is looser: mentoring, market access, introductions or facilities, with no fixed cohort and usually no investment.
