The Cold-Email Lie

Every fundraising guru on LinkedIn will tell you to "just email 200 VCs." That advice is mathematically broken. DocSend's 2025 Fundraising Benchmark Report shows cold-outbound to VCs converts to a first meeting less than 1% of the time. Warm introductions? 40–58% depending on stage.

If your time matters, the question isn't "how many VCs can I email", it's "how do I engineer warm intros at scale?"

What a Real VC List Looks Like in 2026

A curated VC list isn't a CSV of email addresses. The 250+ VC database we share with founders inside East Bridge Capital includes:

  • Active cheque-writers in the last 6 months (not zombie funds).
  • Stage fit: pre-seed, seed, Series A, growth, clearly tagged.
  • Sector thesis: what they actually fund, not what their website claims.
  • Geographic mandate: MENA-only, APAC, US, global.
  • Partner-level contacts with their warm-intro paths mapped.
  • 120+ accelerators and 75+ angel syndicates for early-stage capital.

The Warm-Intro Playbook That Actually Works

Step 1: Map the network, not the firm. Don't target "Sequoia." Target a specific partner who funded a company in your sector in the last 12 months. Use LinkedIn, Crunchbase, and the VC list to find your mutual second-degree connections.

Step 2: Build the forwardable email. The person introducing you will copy-paste, not write. Give them a 5-line blurb: who you are, what you're building, traction, ask, and why this VC. Make it embarrassingly easy to forward.

Step 3: Sequence, don't spray. Run 5–8 introductions per week with quality, not 50 cold emails. Quality intros build pipeline; spray builds reputation damage.

Step 4: Close the loop. Every intro deserves a thank-you regardless of outcome. The person who introduces you owns reputational risk; treat it that way.

Why MENA & APAC Investors Reward Warm Intros More

In Silicon Valley, cold email is acceptable, annoying but tolerated. In MENA and APAC capital ecosystems, it's often disqualifying. Trust networks are tighter. Family offices, in particular, will simply not engage without an introduction from a trusted bridge. That's the reality our founders learn the moment they try to raise in Riyadh, Singapore, or Dubai without local relationships.

How East Bridge Global Plugs You In

When you unlock our 250+ VC list, you get more than a database, you get the curated map of active capital across MENA, APAC and the US, along with the outreach templates our portfolio founders use. For founders who fit our evaluation criteria, we go a step further: warm introductions through our own relationships at East Bridge Global.

We don't promise term sheets. We promise that when we introduce you, the investor will take the meeting because they know we don't waste their time.

From Wajeeh Hussain

"Fundraising in 2026 is a network game disguised as a numbers game. The founders who win are the ones who treat 5 warm intros as more valuable than 500 cold emails, because that's the math.", Wajeeh Hussain, CEO, East Bridge Global.
